This is what is happening in math! In periods 8 and 9 we have wrapped out our unit on multiplying and dividing decimals. A test was given last Friday. To help review, we played destination dice and Kahoot!. What is Kahoot!? Ask your child. The students enjoyed it. We are now starting our unit on divisibility, greatest common factor and least common multiple.
In periods 1, 2, 3, and 6, we have finished our unit on divisiblity, and greatest common factors. We have learned the different strategies for finding the greatest common factor. Ask your child to find out what they are. It is nice to have choices when solving math problems! Instead of a test, students are to create a greatest common factor poster from a real life situation. This will count as a test grade and is due on Friday, 9/23/16. This week we are starting our unit on least common multiple.
