Our week was quite busy learning new concepts. One of them was using the distributive with the greatest common factor. We also started long division using critical thinking problems. We just wrapped up the unit on the least common multiple, greatest common factor and the distributive property for periods 1 and 3. It is great seeing students care about their learning, wanting to participate and to help out in the classroom. Have a good weekend! Mrs. Biarnesen
Happy Friday everyone! We finished MAP testing on Tuesday. For periods 2, 7, 8, and 9 we learned there are three strategies for finding the greatest common factor: listing the factors, drawing a picture and using factor trees. For periods 1 and 3 we wrapped up our unit on decimals with a Candy Corner consumer activity. Have a great weekend!
Today we had MAP testing for math. Great job to everyone for staying focused!
We are making good progress with the interactive student notebooks! For periods 2, 7, 8, and 9 pages 9-12 were added for divisibility and greatest common factor. For periods 1 and 3, pages 9-14 were added for multiplying and dividing decimals.
Thank you for so much for attending our curriculum night on Thursday. Have a great holiday weekend. Mrs. Biarnesen |
