Hi,
Hope everyone is having a good week! We are all starting new units this week. Periods 1 and 3 are working with integers. Today, we started designing our own integer picture to visualize integers in the real world. Periods 2 and 9 are moving on to dividing decimals. Periods 7 and 8 are starting the fraction unit. For Veteran's Day, we will be making a bar graph representing the number of veterans in each of the armed forces. Students were given a graph to complete and then they will glue American flags on a bar graph. This bar graph will show all the veteran's of the 6th grade team. It is always impressive to see it come together! The bar graphs are due Friday, 10/30/15. Thank you to the students who are giving the date as a math problem. We are learning math concepts along the way when trying to solve it to match the day's date. Have a great Halloween weekend! Mrs. Biarnesen
