We continue to keep progressing well in math! Periods 1 and 3 are working on solving one and two-step equations.
To apply this with real life situations, we wrote equations for real life situations and solved them. Posters were created showing the real life situation, equation, problem solving steps and pictures. It is always nice to use creativity in math and "talk" math with each other! For periods 2 and 9, we started multiplying fractions. First with models and then the math way. Seeing students choose the strategy which best works for them is nice! For periods 7 and 8, we started our unit on ratios. Do you know how ratios are like fractions? Do you know the three different ways to write ratios? We will be using ratios to solve real life situations.
Have a great weekend!
